This tutorial from Melly Sews teaches how to sew sweatpants using a free pattern and video instructions. The pants have pockets (how cool!) and only require 3 pattern pieces. You can make them with a stretch fabric such as polyester/cotton blend sweatshirt fleece, ponte knit, medium to heavy interlock knit, or medium to heavy French terry. This cute project is suitable for beginners and a zigzag stitch on a sewing machine is enough, no need for a serger if you don’t have one. The pattern is a women’s size small (hip up to 38 inches, waist up to 29 inches), but can be adjusted for a different size using the tutorial.
