Creative mom Carina Nerland shares a wonderful tutorial on how to make giant crepe paper flower pendants, turning paper sheets and cord sets into a magical lighting installation for a nursery or kids’ room.
The build starts with a sturdy cardboard ring cut like a donut, leaving a wide center opening so the socket and light bulb can pass through safely without touching any paper. Cut out oversized crepe paper petals, then gently stretch and curl their edges for natural shape. Lastly, hot-glue them in overlapping rows around the ring. Pastel shades give the blooms an airy, fairytale feel, but any vibrant color palette works just as well. Grouping five distinct flowers along a suspended wooden stick or piece of driftwood creates an eye-catching hanging feature from the ceiling. You can catch the full DIY tutorial over on the Norwegian maker’s Facebook page too!
